Created Through Him and For Him

Reading: John 1:1–5

Key Verse:  All things were created through Him. (John 1:3)

Devotion

Nothing in creation exists apart from Jesus Christ.

He is not part of creation; He is the Creator. Every galaxy, every living creature, and every human life came into existence through Him.

Even more amazing, Paul tells us that everything was created for Him.

That means your life has purpose. You were not created by accident or for yourself. You were created to know Christ, worship Christ, and glorify Christ.

When we understand that truth, life takes on a completely different perspective.

Reflection Questions

• Am I living for Christ or primarily for myself?

• How does knowing I was created for Him change my priorities?

• How can I glorify Christ today?

Prayer

Father, thank You for creating me with purpose. Help me live each day for the glory of Jesus Christ. Amen.
