Additional Reading: Revelation 7:9
The Gospel Is for Everyone
Paul was given a commission: to make the Word of God fully known. The message he carried wasn't just for a certain group of people. The mystery that had been hidden for generations had now been revealed: Christ in you, the hope of glory.
Everyone needs that hope. The Gospel crosses every boundary that people use to divide themselves. Different backgrounds. Different ages. Different cultures. Different personalities. Different experiences.
In Christ, we become one.
Revelation 7 gives us a picture of where all of this is heading: people from every nation, tribe, people, and language gathered around the throne worshiping Jesus.
That should shape the way we see people today. The person who lives next door needs Jesus. The person sitting beside you at work needs Jesus. The person you don't understand needs Jesus. The person who looks different from you needs Jesus. The person who has made terrible mistakes needs Jesus.
And God has called His church to make Christ known.
Reflect
Who is one person in your life who may need to hear the Gospel?
Have you been willing to talk to that person about Jesus?
Pray
Lord Jesus, thank You that the Gospel is for everyone. Give me eyes to see people the way You see them. Give me courage to speak about You and wisdom to know when and how to do it. Help my life point people toward Christ, and give me opportunities to proclaim the Gospel. Amen.
