Scripture: John 15:1-8

"Abide in Me, and I in you."

Devotion

Jesus uses the picture of a vine and its branches to teach a powerful truth: spiritual life and fruitfulness come only through a close relationship with Him. Branches cannot survive apart from the vine, and neither can we flourish apart from Christ.

Many believers try to live the Christian life through determination and effort alone. Jesus reminds us that lasting fruit comes through dependence, not self-sufficiency. The more we abide in Christ through prayer, His Word, and obedience, the more His life is seen through us.

• Am I depending on Christ daily?

• What distracts me from abiding in Him?

• What fruit is Christ producing in my life?

  
  

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, teach me to abide in You. Help me remain close to You each day so that my life will bear fruit that glorifies the Father. Amen.
