Daily Devotion: Complete in Christ Week Two, Day Two

Scripture: Romans 12:1–2

Therefore, brothers and sisters, in view of the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your true worship.  Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.

Devotion

Transformation begins in the mind.

Our culture constantly tells us what success looks like, what happiness is, and how we should live. Yet Paul reminds us that believers are not called to fit into the world but to be transformed by God.

Notice that transformation happens through the renewing of your mind. The more we fill our minds with Scripture, the more we begin to recognize God's will.

God's will is not discovered by following popular opinion. It is discovered by allowing His truth to reshape the way we think.

Every day you have a choice: allow the world to influence your thinking, or allow God's Word to renew it.

Prayer

Lord, renew my mind today. Help me reject the patterns of this world and embrace Your truth. Transform my heart so that I can recognize and follow Your perfect will. Amen.
