The Founder and Sustainer

Read: Matthew 16:13–18

Jesus declared, "I will build My church." The church is not a human invention. It is Christ's creation. He established it, purchased it with His blood, and continues to sustain it today.

This truth should give every believer confidence. Churches may face challenges, cultures may change, and opposition may arise, but Christ remains faithful to His promise. His church will endure because it belongs to Him.

• How does knowing Christ is building His church encourage me?

• Am I trusting Christ more than human strategies?

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for building and sustaining Your church. Help me to trust Your promises and faithfully serve where You have placed me. Amen.
