Daily Devotion: Complete in Christ Week Three, Day Five

Scripture: Colossians 1:11-14

"Being strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might..."

Paul prays that believers would be strengthened—not merely to endure hardship—but to do so with endurance, patience, and joy. The Christian life is not free from difficulty, but God supplies the strength His children need for every challenge.

Paul then reminds us why we can rejoice: God has rescued us from the domain of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of His beloved Son. Through Jesus, we have redemption and the forgiveness of sins.

As you prepare your heart for worship this weekend, remember that your hope is rooted not in your circumstances but in Christ's finished work.

This Sunday's passage (Colossians 1:15-20) will remind us why Jesus is worthy of our complete trust and worship. The One who redeemed us is none other than the Creator, Sustainer, and Supreme Lord over all.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for rescuing me from darkness and bringing me into the kingdom of Your Son. Strengthen me by Your power, fill my heart with joy, and prepare me to worship Christ with greater awe this Sunday. Amen.
