Scripture: Psalm 119:97–105

"Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light on my path."

Devotion

God rarely gives us a spotlight for the entire journey.

Instead, He gives us a lamp.

A lamp provides enough light for the next step, not the next hundred steps. Sometimes we become frustrated because we want God to reveal the entire plan before we're willing to obey.

But spiritual growth often happens one faithful step at a time.

The psalmist loved God's Word because it provided wisdom for daily living. Scripture gives direction when we're confused, comfort when we're hurting, and correction when we've wandered.

If you're waiting for God to show you His will, begin by obeying what He's already revealed in His Word.

Prayer

Father, thank You for giving me Your Word. Help me trust You even when I cannot see the whole path. Give me the courage to obey the next step You place before me. Amen.
