Scripture: James 1:5

"Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God—who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly—and it will be given to him."

Devotion

One of God's greatest invitations is simply this:

Ask.

God never expects us to navigate life alone. He delights in giving wisdom to His children.

Biblical wisdom is much more than intelligence. It is the ability to see life from God's perspective and make decisions that honor Him.

Too often we seek advice everywhere except from God. We consult social media, friends, podcasts, and experts before we spend time in prayer.

God promises generous wisdom to those who sincerely ask.

Today, before making important decisions, pause and pray first.

• What decision do you need God's wisdom for today?

• Are you asking God first, or only after you've exhausted every other option?

Prayer

Lord, I need Your wisdom. Help me depend on You instead of leaning on my own understanding. Give me discernment so I can honor You in every decision I make today. Amen.
